There is an other indoor field (cellar) somewhere in Budafok I think. There are outdoor playing fields around budapest. You should check the "játékszervezés" topik. Nagykovácsi is next to Budapest with a new field. There is Pestszentimre, Érd, Péteri-Gyömrő, Tököl not too far and there is a cave in Dabas.

It's been a long time, I finally put together my equipment. Now I'm looking for places to play at in Budapest. I only know of Airsoft Arena. Are there any other places to play in Budapest?

You'r welcome and good choice You can play as a sniper with an AEG too. Try to shoot only if you're 100% sure you can hit the target with one BB and try to remain undiscovered. If you feel you like this gamestyle, buy a sniper rifle, but if you're not patient/calm enough dont push it.

If you want a functional sniper rifle, buy a VSR or JG bar-10 for base. Anyway, you need a gun with VSR compatible internals. Everything else is just wasted money.

I've been searching online and I noticed that spring operated sniper rifles are really cheap. I would like to have a sniper rifle as well (something like L96). Can anyone recommend a good brand for that?

@Phoenix I will go and check out these shops as soon as I can. I have watched lots of videos but you're right, I should try it for real. Thank you very much for the useful information

Hi there.
The First thing you do is try out the game !!! The: http://www.facebook.com/airsofthungary.hu is a good place to try out the game they have weapons and equipment you can rent and regular Big games. If you go to a Big Game you can meet players (some who can speak and understand english) look at weapons and equipment and most importantly make sure you like the reality of the game and not some romantic fantasy that exist only in your head

If I end up getting a GBBR, what would be the problems apart from gas cost?
The biggest problem you will have is that nobody is using GBBR guns, because they are expensive and unreliable (fail a lot...) so there are not a lot of people who can repair or upgrade a GBBR (i know no one). Look up the airsoft shops in Budapest: NoWar, Keleti Front, Airsoft Depo, Airsoft One (the Google is your fiend), go to the shops, ask the guys to let you touch and try out the weapons you like (personal experience is priceless in case of buying a new gun) i liked some guns only until i tried it out in real life. If they got nothing you like (it can happen but not very likely) you can still order from the EU.
Before you buy a new gun make sure there are magazine for it !!! At First the High Capacity magazine (Hi Cap) is enough, but after a while you want to change it to Mid Cap magazines (80-120 BB Capacity/magazine). For some type of guns, buying MidCap magazines is nearly impossible. (I searched for months for G3 MidCaps).

I can go up to $1000 (~220,000ft). When I buy something like this, I would like it to be good from the start so I won't have to bother with replacing, upgrading etc. I will look at the AEGs you mentioned and if I find something that I like, I will ask about it here. If I end up getting a GBBR, what would be the problems apart from gas cost? Thank you, again, for the reply

I recommend AEGs - they are much more versatile than GBBRs. G&P, G&G or CA are nice guns that tend to work fine out of the box, but they are a bit expensive. There are other brands that are good, like kwa but I don't know much about them, maybe someone can recommend something there.
As for the cheaper guns, you can buy them but you must give them to a local AS weaponsmith to fix them. After that they work fine. Boyi, A&K are the primary options there.
You are right, if you order from within the EU, you don't have to pay anything extra.

Thank you for the reply OK, then can someone recommend a realistic gun, preferably an M4 (aeg or gbb) which would allow me to attach accessories to it like a holo sight or foregrip and have good fps without too many upgrades? I want something I can get good performance with right out of the box as I have no idea to add/remove parts. About the import tax, if I order it from somewhere inside the European Union do I still need to pay the it?

Hi, and welcome.
As for your questions I know only about the second one. You can order and keep airsoft guns freely. However there are a few rules to follow: - You are not allowed to wear them in public. You can transport them in a bag or a box or something similar where it's shape is not really visible. You should keep the mags, the BBs separately from the gun. - Also keep in mind that it's not a good idea to wear the uniform in public, especially the vests, holsters, etc. - You can use the guns only in private owned territories, properties (with fence if possible).
About ordering: keep in mind that it is quite possibble that you will get a letter from customs about paying the taxes for importing the gun. That basically means that they ask for some description of the gun (the webshop's page about the specific gun is fine) and the payment info - bank or paypal transfer information. Then they send a letter about the amount you have to pay for them, and that will be about the one third of the total price you've payed for the gun (including shipping).
Most of the games are following the MASZ 2010 rules - that's hungarian AS rules. It has been translated to english but I can't find it now.
Also consider asking here about the gun you are about to buy because for exaple that inokatsu is not a very good choice.

Hello guys,
I graduated recently from University of Debrecen and found a job in Budapest. I've always been interested in airsoft but never actually tried it. Since I'll be earning my own money from now on, I decided to get a gun and get in the action
I have a few questions; 1- Are there any English-speaking groups in or around Budapest? (My Hungarian level is only elementary at the moment but I'm planning on taking courses after I start working)
